Metal roofs are modern looking and can be used in more situations than a traditional tiled roof. Metal can be used on roofs with pitches from 1 to 90 degrees where as tiled roofs are restricted in pitch to keep the water out.
Metal roofs are light weight and therefore place less stress on the walls and foundations of your home. They do not crack in hail like tiled roofs and in fact, its quite hard to break a metal roof. Tiles can be cracked quite easily when cleaning gutters or moving aerials etc.
